Obituary of Schley Albert Warren

" Schley A. Warren, Jr. of Canal Dr., Belchertown, died Sunday at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Waitsfield, VT on April 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Schley A. Warren, Sr. and Grace Leona (Hurdle) Warren. He Lived in Belchertown from 1967 to 1991. He now resides in both Belchertown and Zephyrhills, Fl. He retired in 1988 as a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service Bulk Mail Center where he worked for 10 years. He previously owned Warren's Locksmith from 1974-1978. He was a 22 year Veteran of the U.S. Army when he retired from the Service in 1974 serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a communicant of St. Francis church in Belchertown, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 0353, VFW Post 8428 and DAV Chapter MA Chapter 11. He was also a a avid bluegrass guitarist and a member of the Soggy Bottom and several other bluegrass associations. He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann (Crane) Warren, 3 daughters, Shannon Ferris and Sherry Sullivan both of Belchertown and Samantha Richards of Hardwick, 3 sons, Schley, III of South Hadley, Stewart of Granby, and Stephen of Palmer, 1 brother, Owen Warren of Florida, and 4 sisters, Phyllis Burgess of Chicopee, Dorothy Goddard of Brimfield, Doris (Lynn) Deyo of Springfield, Pauline Seymour of Springfield, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandaughter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Francis Church Building Fund, 10 Park St., Belchertown, MA 01007 or to a charity of one's choice. "
