Obituary of Denise Lussier Catuogno

Denise Lussier Catuogno, 66, of Wilbraham, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday, February 13th after fighting a long, courageous battle with cancer.  Denise, known as “Gram” to so many, was the most loving and doting wife, mother and grandmother.  She had a passion for photography, never leaving the house without her camera, and as a result, leaves behind the gift of so many wonderful memories for her family and friends.
 
Denise was born on May 1st, 1953 in Springfield, MA to Edward and Marguerite (Bushey) Lussier. Denise is survived by her loving husband, Ray Catuogno, and her children, Christian Barthelette and his wife Kristine and Sarah Williams and her husband Rich. She is also survived by her grandchildren Richie, Luis, Cody, Corrina, Victoria and Alex and her great-grandson Kade, all of whom she loved fiercely, and her beloved dog Maggie.  Denise also leaves behind her siblings Linda and Doug Rowlett, Barbara Lussier and Robert Craig, Gale and Ken Miron, Frank and Carol Walker, and Tammy Peverada. Denise was also a loving step-mother and grandmother to her large, extended family. Denise was preceded in death by her son, Shane Barthelette, in 1974.
 
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 18th from 4-7 pm at the Beers & Story Funeral Home in Belchertown. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 19th at the funeral home with burial to follow at South Cemetery.
