Obituary of Marlene J. Roche

Holland, Marlene Joy (Kempf) Roche, 73, died peacefully at her home with her children and grand daughter by her side on February 10, 2020.  She was born on July 13, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Christian and Frances (Newstat) Kempf, and has lived in Holland since 1973.

 

She worked as an administrative assistant for the Commonwealth of MA DMR for over 40 years.  In her leisure, she enjoyed going to craft fairs and playing cards at the Holland Senior Center.  But above all, she loved spending time with her family.  

 

She will be deeply missed by her children, Laura Girard and her husband Joseph of Palmer, Kris Roche and his wife Cynthia of Belchertown, along with her 5  precious grandchildren, Steven, Krystina, and Caitlin Downing, and Brady and Cameron Roche and her precious great grandson, Sterling Downing.  She also leaves her sister Chris Tuczyniski of Sturbridge.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Brian in 2004, along with her sister Barbara.  

 

The family will receive friends at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N.Main St, on Friday, February 14 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.  A Celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery.  For those wishing to honor her memory, donations may be made to the Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital, 55 Sayles St, Southbridge,MA 01550.  Please visit www.beersandstory.com.
