Obituary of Janina Dorobisz

Janina Dorobisz, 99, passed away March 11, 2020. She was born on April 19, 1920 in Dzibice, Poland to Paul and Franciszka (Zawalska) Papka. A resident of Holyoke since 1965, she was previously a member of the former Mater Dolorosa Parish. Janina was preceded in death by her loving husband Wojciech in 2002, her son Julian Dorobisz, and daughter Helena Pitry. She is survived by her son Edward and his wife Teresa of Chicopee as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 18 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Funeral Home in South Hadley followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cross in Holyoke. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
