Obituary of Gloria A. Cartelli

Gloria A Cartelli, 97, of Belchertown, Massachusetts passed away April 21, 2020 at home. She was born on June 18, 1922 in Rockville, CT to Robert and Emma (Paglia) Genovesi.   Gloria has lived in Belchertown for over 40 years and was a very active communicant in St. Francis Church as well as a member of the Women's Club.  Gloria enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy and Hawaii, playing cards and listening to music.  She was also a published poet.   She is survived by three sons, Richard Cartelli, of ME,  Michael Cartelli of Ware and John Cartelli of Belchertown.  She also leaves a brother David Genovesi of Rome, Italy, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Cartelli, a son William Cartelli and a brother Robert Genovesi.   All services are private due to the current circumstance and she will be laid to rest at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Rockville, CT.  Donations may be made in her memory to St. Francis Church Building Fund.   Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
