Obituary of Mary N. Sierakowski

Mary N. (Gajewski) Sierakowski, 100, of Three Rivers, MA passed away peacefully on May 12, 2020 at Vero Health & Rehab in Wilbraham, MA, shortly after celebrating her 100th year of life. Daughter of the late Clemens and Aniela (Stec) Gajewski, she was born in Ludlow, MA on May 4, 1920. After school, Mary went to work in the factories for the war effort, later retiring as a textile worker for Bondsville Print Mill. Mary loved her flowers and gardening. She will be fondly remembered as an excellent pastry chef and cook, specifically Polish dinners and for her love of soap operas. In her later years, Mary loved to play Bingo at AMVETS in Three Rivers and never missed weekly Bingo at the nursing home.  What Mary loved most of all was her family.  Mary will be missed by all who knew her, including her loving daughter, Sandra Gilman of Three Rivers; her grandchildren Heather Auclair of Belchertown and Todd Appleby of Palmer; her 8 great grandchildren, Lincoln, Lucas, Colbylyn, Chance, Kelton, Coty, Sean, Chantell; and her 3 great-great grandchildren, Mason, Lillianna, and Camryn; as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Alexander Sierakowski, her daughter Mary Ann Appleby, her grandson David Gilman, her sister Sophie Buczoki, her 4 brothers, Edward "Gaj", Stanley, Walter "Butch", and John Gajewski. Services for Mary will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palmer Senior Center, 1029 Central St. Palmer, MA 01069.
