Francis Furnelli

Obituary of Francis Pasquale Alexandre Furnelli

Francis Pasquale Alexandre Furnelli “Frankie Alex”, 28, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, left this world unexpectedly on June 29, 2020 in South Hadley. Born in Exeter, NH on July 7, 1991, he grew up in New Salem and graduated from Mahar Regional High School in Orange, where he could often be found in the music room. Alex was a talented musician who proudly played guitar and piano, which he continued throughout his life. He enjoyed being outside and finding new adventures. Alex was a spiritual Jedi. He wanted peace and happiness for everyone he met. His love for God, music and writing allowed him to connect to who he was. In Alex’s words; “Just do good things for people and tell the truth, it’s pretty simple.”
He will be deeply missed by his father, Richard Furnelli, Jr of S. Hadley, his mother and father, Lisa and Leon Jenks of New Salem, four dear siblings, Stephanie Corrigan and husband, Sean, of Westfield, and Matthew, Devon and Joshua Jenks all of New Salem. He also leaves behind his great grandmother, Evelyn Cable and grandparents; Stephen and Maurine Cable, Bridget and Curtis Wood, Richard Furnelli, Sr. and Ann Furnelli, Walter and Beverly Jenks; his nephew, Bradley Corrigan; his aunts and uncles, Kathleen Furnelli and Adam Hogan, Elizabeth Furnelli and Rob Demerski, Matthew Furnelli and Ashlee Loomis, Patrick Wood and Chantale Marchand, Jeff Turner, Brenda and Seth Kirchner, Bruce and Alison Jenks, and Christine Jenks; as well as many loved cousins and friends. Alex is now with his uncle Curtis Maxam Wood II, aunt Jessie, Nino, Pépére, and great uncle Major Francis P. Furnelli, he’s greatly loved here on earth as well as in heaven. When you think of Alex, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember life is fragile and short, so spend it living and loving as he did.
