Obituary of Shirley T. Rivers

Shirley T. (Seymour) Rivers, 82, of Belchertown, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born on February 11, 1938 in Springfield, MA to the late Fred and Rose (Drohat) Seymour and went on to graduate from Commerce High School.  After graduation, she worked in banking and most recently as a supervisor in the transit department for Bank of Boston for over 20 years before retiring. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her, including her loving daughters, Robin Walton-Massey and her husband, Albert of Springfield, MA and Karen Walton of Hartford, CT; her brother, Joseph Seymour and wife Patricia of Belchertown, MA; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at South Cemetery, 143 Mill Valley Rd, Belchertown, MA 01007 beginning at 10 am.
