Obituary of Minnie Luth

Minnie Luth, 95, passed away August 4, 2020. She was born on September 28, 1924 in Weehawken, New Jersey to the late Fred and Catherine Lind. In 1963, Minnie, Pinky and their family moved from New Jersey to Mosier Street in South Hadley where many wonderful lifelong memories were made. Minnie was previously employed at Spalding and later transferred to National Blank Book in Holyoke before retiring in 1987. She enjoyed spending her time watching game shows, playing bingo, reading and gardening. She was an avid fan of the Boston RedSox and indulged her sweet tooth with her favorite chocolates. Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Luth in 1988, her son Walter Jr. in 1989 and her son David in 2019. She will be forever missed by her children, Linda Wolf, Doris Hansen and husband Richard, Marsha McCarthy and husband Curt, and Laurie Lavigne and husband Al. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly Bator, Michael and Matthew Beaudoin, Melissa Cunha, Myles and Margo McCarthy, Leah and Anna Stabile, and David Christopher Luth as well as 11 great grandchildren. All services will be held at the family's discretion. Minnie's family would like to thank the staff at Holyoke Healthcare Center for their compassionate care provided to Minnie.
