Obituary of Barbara Faye Jauch

Barbara Fay Rogers Jauch passed away on January 17, 2021, at Palmer House Health Care, Palmer, Massachusetts. Born on October 14, 1925 in Washington, Indiana, she was the 9th of 10 children born to Charles and Amy (Eaton) Rogers.

As a child Barbara played the piano, guitar, and clarinet. At the age of 8, accompanied by a sister and brother, she played the guitar and sang on a local radio station.

Barbara was a 1946 graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a surgical nurse, and practiced her profession in Indiana, Illinois, and California.  In 1957 Barbara and her husband Fritz moved from Queens, New York, to Leonia, New Jersey, where they lived for 13 years.  In 1970 they moved to Bloomington, Indiana, where she served as director of nurse volunteers for the local American Red Cross, and as a volunteer with the Public Health Nursing Association and the Senior Citizens Center. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with family and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick Jauch, son Martin Jauch, son-in-law Daniel Reim, grandson Timothy Reim; seven brothers: Voila, George, Bill, Marvin, Forest, Bruce, and Fred Rogers; and two sisters: Lorna Boling and Virginia McKown.

She is survived by her children, Christine Reim of Palmer, MA, Timothy (Becky) Jauch of Loveland, OH, Rebecca (Gary) Bryant of Franklin, IN, and Jeffrey Jauch of Novato, CA; and by her grandchildren Kyle Gray, Kevin (Candace) Reim, Kelly Gray, Erin (Luke) Venneri, Brian Jauch, and Michael Jauch; and eight great grandchildren.

There be no funeral service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements have been entrusted to Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home in Palmer, Ma. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Bloomington, IN.
