Obituary of David P. DeMaio

David. P. DeMaio, 85, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021.  He was the son of  Santino "Sam" and Hazel (Denning) DeMaio, born March 18, 1935 in Palmer.  He graduated from Palmer High School in 1954 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army for the next 3 years, serving at the end of the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 130.  David was employed at Diamond International Cascades and retired in 1997.  He will be deeply missed by his wife, Christine of 62 years, his sons, David (Laurie) and Paul (Dori), three grandsons, Jan-Michael, Kyle and Ryan (Katherine), and two great granddaughters, his darling Izabelle and Autumn.  David was predeceased by three siblings, Richard DeMaio, Jeanne McKee and William DeMaio.  The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Overlook Hospice-Visiting Nurse Associates for their compassion in caring for David these last few days-especially Laura, Jaimie, Tracy, and Ruby.  All services will be private and Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
