Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Cardinal

Hampden-Elizabeth "Betty" A. Cardinal, 80, passed away on Feb. 20, 2021 at Vero Health & Rehabilitation.  She was born on January 23, 1941 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Theodore and Emily Zuhusky.   Betty was a lifelong resident of Palmer and worked as an LPN for many years at Holyoke Hospital and surrounding facilities.   In her younger years she enjoyed hanging out with friends at Leo's Drive Inn and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley.  She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Cardinal and Marie Santos of Palmer.  She also leaves 5 grandchildren Tiffany and James West, Michael Lawson, Isaiah and Iesha Santos and 7 great grandchildren, Charleigh, Atreus, and Odin, Qwamarie, Qwanesha, Victor and Steven. Betty was predeceased by her husband Daniel Cardinal, her son, Christopher Cardinal and a granddaughter Shannon Baez.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 26th from 10:00-12:00 pm. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Service and burial will be held immediately after privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Huntington Disease Society of America.
