Obituary of Therese B. Ziomek

Belchertown-Therese B. Ziomek, 93, passed into eternal life with the Lord Jesus March 4, 2021. She was born on October 11, 1927 to the late Eugene and Blanche Beauchemin. Therese’s love for others had an impact on so many. A devoted mom, grandma, and great-grandma, she enjoyed caring and praying for others, family gatherings, going out to eat, playing cards, bingo, scrabble and making puzzles. Therese was a wonderful listener who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She worked for over 18 years at Mount Holyoke College while also working hard at the Granby home farm stand. She was an avid member of St. Theresa's, volunteering at numerous Church and community events, and serving for many years on the bereavement committee. 

Therese will be missed by all who knew her, especially her 7 children, Henry (Eileen) of Wilbraham, Thomas (Cheryl) of Florida, Karen (Rich) Robidoux of Holyoke, Diane (Mark) Plante of Belchertown, Jim (Sarah) of Virginia, Janet (Tom) Manzi of Wilbraham and Bob (Annette) of South Hadley; her 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends. Therese was predeceased by her husband of 59 yrs., Henry S. Ziomek Sr., March 7, 2008. 

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2 to 5pm at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to meet directly at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 9 E Parkview Dr., for a Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday, March 15 beginning at 11:00am. Rites of Committal to immediately follow in West Cemetery, Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oblate Missions, 9480 N.
