Obituary of Nancy L. (Gouin) Lockwood

Belchertown-Nancy L. (Gouin) Lockwood, 58, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2021.  Born May 5, 1962 in Holyoke, she is the daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Lussier) Gouin of Chicopee.  Nancy grew up in Holyoke and then lived in Chicopee.  She has spent the past 26 years in Belchertown and really found a connection to this town.  Nancy most recently worked at Atkinson Family Practice as a billing specialist.  The warm sun, sand and ocean waves were loved by Nancy.  She loved the Cape and being near the ocean.  As a hard worker, she always held many jobs at the same time, and was always very active.  Nancy loved her home in Belchertown and was very social, having many dear friends.  Her greatest passion was for her family, watching her grandsons play baseball and spending time together.  Besides her parents, Nancy will be dearly missed by her son, Anthony LaFleur and his wife Megan, and their three sons, Jacoby, Beckett, and Alexander of Uncasville, CT.  She also leaves her siblings, Robert Gouin of Chicopee, Susan Gouin of Westfield, Michael Gouin of E.Hartford, CT, and Mark Gouin of Chicopee along with her beloved cat, Pumpkin.  A walk through visitation will be held Friday, March 12th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home.  Due to current Covid capacity regulations, the service and burial will be private.  In honoring Nancy's love of animals, please consider donations to Barc, Inc, PO Box 161, Belchertown, MA 01007
