Obituary of Robert B. Finne

Robert B. Finne, 69, a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away after a courageous battle with mesothelioma in the comfort of his home on March 16, 2021. 

We were thankful to have him in our lives, but now he has gone to his Heavenly Father and to all that has passed before him.  He knew how much he was loved and we know how much he loved us.  We know he will be looking down on us and is now our Guardian Angel. We loved him and will miss him, but he will always be in our hearts. 

Robert led a remarkable life and was a inspiration to all that knew him best. We will treasure the memories of him in our minds always. "Your life was a blessing, your memory was a treasure.  You're loved beyond words. Rest in peace."

 Robert was born February 1, 1952 in Worcester, MA, son of Earl B. and the late Rose Ann (Perrone) Finne.  He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Robert last worked at Country Candle, Co. in Millbury as a facilities manager and enjoyed spending time with Judy, going to the zoos with his grandson when he was up visiting, and activites with Judy's three grandhcildren.  He had fond memories attending many sporting events of his son, Rob, with lots of stories and memories that followed.   

In addition to his father, Earl,  and step-mother, Delores, Robert leaves his longtime partner, Judith Loconto, with whom he lived, his son, Robert Finne, Jr. and his wife Lindsey, grandson, Brayden of Naples FL, along with three siblings, four half-siblings, five step-siblings, with their families.  Robert was predeceased by his half-brother, Danny. 

A heartfelt appreciation and love for the "Angels" that supported Robert through his long battle by offering love and support, also at beside.  "Angels around us, angels beside us, angels within us.  Angels are watching over you when times are good or stressed.  Their wings wrap gently around you, whispering you are loved."  

A graveside service with military honors will take place at Worcester County Memorial Park on June 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with a memorial celebration to follow within MA Covid regulations.  

For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to your local animal rescue organization, as his love for his four dogs played a major part of his life.
