We were deeply saddened to learn of Sylvia‘s passing. We both remember her fondly from our younger days at Hemlock Hill ski area. She was a wonderful lady compassionate and considerate of everyone. All of our contact with Sylvia over the years, although infrequent, was a pleasure. She will surely be missed by everyone who knew her.

Receiving the incredibly sad news of Sylvia’s passing filled us with grief. Fort the two years we lived in the US she welcomed us a part of her family during Thanksgiving with such a big heart! We’ll always keep these days as wonderful memories.

Our friend Sylvia blessed us all, enriching and enhancing our lives by simply walking among us.
She was a remarkable and talented photographer, gifting us with images of beauty, whimsy, grandeur and more. They are overshadowed only by the her remarkable good nature. She was one of the kindest and most gentle people we have ever had the privilege to call our friend. We will forever hold her memory dearly within our hearts. Our thoughts are with John and his family at this time.

My condolences to the family of Sylvia. We went to high school together. Although we have not seen each other in many years, we did exchange greetings, mine were almost always of one of my dogs with a little story, and hers were most always photographs of the simplest things in nature, that she would just capture perfectly, and make a rain drop as beautiful as a diamond. My wife and I are sorry to hear about losing Sylvia. She possessed the sweetest personality that a person could have. She was our mail person for several years, and I remember greeting her many times while she was delivering our mail.
