Colton Banks

Obituary of Colton T. Banks

Athol-Colton T. Banks, 29, previously of Belchertown, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 3, 2021.  Born August 27, 1991, he is the son of Timothy Banks and Lacie (DeHimer) Banks.  Colton grew up in Belchertown and graduated from Belchertown High School.  For the past five years, he has lived with his wife, Alanna, in their home in Athol.  After high school, Colton did welding and metal work and for the past several years, worked as a cook.  He was not only a cook during his working day but he loved to create special food in the kitchen along side Alanna.  His friends and family have savored his cooking creations for many years.  He had a "knack" for collecting friends and touched many peoples lives.  Colton loved music and appreciated the tunes through playing and listening to music of all kinds.  He loved playing D&D with his friends throughout the years.  Growing up, Colton and his family always had dogs and his love for the four legged companion continued into his adulthood.  His love and memory will forever remain with his parents, Lacie Banks of Belchertown and Timothy Banks of Belchertown.  Alanna (Davies) Banks, his wife and longtime companion and soulmate, will forever cherish his life and love along with his younger sister, Lorelei Banks of Belchertown, to whom he was very close with and shared a special bond.  He also leaves many extended family members and friends.  A visitation will be held Saturday, April 17th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Dakin Humane Society or ASPCA to honor Colton's love for animals.
