Obituary of Joseph H Gaunt, Jr.

South Hadley- Joseph H. Gaunt, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 27, 2021 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born November 25, 1935 to Joseph H. Gaunt, Sr. and Rose (Donovan) Gaunt. Joe grew up in South Hadley and spent all of his life there. He was a mailman in town for 35 years and had his own landscaping business for 50 years. Joe was loved by all who knew him and was always willing to lend a helping hand for anyone who needed it. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Winoski) Gaunt, and his special friend, Ellie Gugenberger in 2020. He leaves behind his son, Michael Gaunt and his wife Hui-Wen Chia, of Chicopee; his beloved daughter, Debra Blondek and her husband Tom, of South Hadley; his son, Joseph F. Gaunt and his wife Lori of Glendale, AZ.; as well as 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchilren. He also leaves behind his two brothers, Ronald Gaunt and Robert Gaunt, both of Ft. Myers, FL., and his sister, Ellen Saganich of Clinton, TN.
