Obituary of Lorraine Mabel Knowles

South Hadley- Lorraine Mabel (Tetreault) Knowles, 98, passed away peacefully at Veros of South Hadley on September 12, 2021. Lorraine was born in Montague to the late Leonard A. and Maryanne (Lively) Tetreault on September 29, 1922. After spending some time in Holyoke, she moved to South Hadley, where she has lived for over 50 years. During her working career, she was a waitress at the River Lodge. Lorraine enjoyed playing cards, being a member of the Council of Aging and foremost, spending her days on the beaches of Cape Cod.

Lorraine is will be deeply missed by her son, Thomas and wife Katherine of Holyoke and Steven and wife Catherine of South Hadley. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Earle (1991) and her sister Evelyn. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 19th from 2-4 p.m. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be on Monday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church, followed by a burial at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. Kindly meet directly at church.
