Our Miss Jane was a saintly, lovely human being - one of a kind! Her outlook on life was always so refreshingly optimistic! As many of us know, Jane was also a very spiritual person and her faith never wavered, no matter what was happening in the world. I always enjoyed our lunches together & visiting her at her home. RIP Miss Jane. I’m sure you’re with the angels now because you are one. Love you!

Dear Janise, Dan, Brian, Bill, and all the great family of kids. I was lucky enough to work with Jane’s daughter Janise,, teach Bill and Brian, and so blessed with having Jane as my favorite “ church lady” friend and social fun lover! Yes, she was a lady, a real southern belle, and a dedicated church member, but I smile thinking of our private moments…we had some real rip roarers I still laugh about. We shared a lot, both serious and hysterical, at church, the Stone House, the symphony, Boarshead, her 80th birthday, etc etc. I send you all sincere condolences. You were fortunate to have her. I am sure her Henry was the angel greeting her, followed by her two close friends June and Ruth, in the hundred year club so recently preceding her. They were all not separated fior long! Heaven and Jane are smiling….look up, smile and wave…she doesn’t miss a thing! I will try to join you at the celebration. In the meantime you are all in my thoughts and prayers, Christine and Richard Harper, Belchertown

Nothing made family happier than seeing Miss Jane's phone number on the caller ID. She was usually calling for my daughter but my husband loved that when he answered the phone she would flirt with him. Driving Miss Jane was one of our great pleasures. My daughter used to drive her to church on occasion. It was the hairdresser for me. I loved how important her hair color and style were to her. Our last trip from the hairdresser was not quite planned. I happened to see her sitting on a cement wall behind the hair salon. I went over to have a visit and she looked so sad and said "she (her driver) must have forgotten about me" My good fortune I said! We did make a call on my cell phone to see what may have happened to her ride (tequila! tequila happened to her ride. LOL) I looked at her and said "Miss Jane I have to good fortune of informing you that your chariot awaits, and I motioned to my car. She saw the grim on my face when I was speaking with our mutual friend and said "Well, I hope her excuse involved some fun."
Jane was 'grace' embodied. She made everyone she spoke with feel she was truly interested in every word coming out of their mouth. She was always a lady. She was always a teacher. She loved her family to the moon and back. Her romance with Henry never ended. I will forever hear her sweet southern voice. My condolences to you all.
