Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of the members of the Hislop family. We were so fortunate to have them as our neighbors for so many years.

Our condolences to Lyle,Rob,Ken, family & friends, and to all who loved Ginny - I would be in the latter. It's truly a sad day for all of us when such a kind, caring light goes out in our community and we are left with that empty space that can't be refilled. Ginny was such a great girl - she was my mentor when I started working at the Post Office in town all those years ago. If there was anything to be known having to do with Postal business, Ginny was the one who knew it - I can't say enough how patient and understanding she was with me - there was just so much to learn. Virginia was always the face of the Post Office for our customers always pleasant, helpful and ready to solve everyone's problems, no matter how large or small. In later years I Would stop by Ginny's to visit and it was always like "old home week". She had a way of making people feel welcomed & special - an old Yankee at heart - the kind that they aren't making too many of anymore.I only wish now that I had taken more opportunities to stop by and see her more often when she was with us but then, isn't that the way of the world ? We always think that are have more tomorrows and some how are always surprised when we find out that that's not the case. I'm going to miss Ginny - such a good soul! Rest easy Girl, you've done your job well - glad that you're back with Irving!

I reiterate my condolences for one of my childhood and adult idols. I shall miss her. I learned from every family on the street, so different yet so compatable we were! Celebrate her wonderful life and spirit. Her values live on in all of you! Christine Gould Harper
