Obituary of Donald Bruce Laporte

Agawam -Donald Bruce Laporte, 67, passed away February 7, 2022. He was born in Holyoke, MA on July 18, 1954 to Donald and Therese (Bourdeau) Laporte. He was raised in Belchertown and lived in W. Springfield, Westfield and most currently Agawam for the past several years. Bruce worked as a mechanic for the US Postal Service in Springfield for 20 years. In his leisure he enjoyed playing the violin and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Elaine Laporte, children David and Karen Laporte and grandson Logan. He also leaves his siblings, Gregory Laporte, Timothy Laporte (Lynda) and Lucia Sturup (Lawerence) and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16th from 9:30-10:30 am at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Francis Church in Belchertown. Burial will follow in Lake Vale Cemetery.
