Obituary of Shannon Franco-Delvalle

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family and friends of Shannon Franco-Delvalle share the news of her passing away on February 9, 2022 at the young, vibrant age of 41.  Born in Winchester, MA on June 19, 1980, Shannon and her twin sister, Sarah, grew up in Palmer.  She lived in Boston, Palmer, Springfield and then returned again to Palmer.  For many years, she worked as a medical assistant at Wing and most recently worked as a clinical informatic education specialist for Baystate Health.  If you knew Shannon, you loved Shannon.  She had could light up a room with her larger than life personality and could talk to anyone for hours and hours.  Shannon made friends everywhere she went.  Her smile, and sense of humor will long be remembered by all whose lives she touched.  Shannon loved to sing and you could often hear her singing through the halls of the hospital.  Spending time with friends and family filled Shannon's heart with love and joy.  Her memory will forever be cherished by her family; her dear mother, Janice Franco-Shea, her beloved husband, Jaime Delvalle, her cherished twin sister, Sarah Franco and fiancé, Nelson Almeida and their children, Zaiden and Zoie.  Shannon's adored daughters, Taysia Franco-Smith, and Ariana Franco along with her aunts and uncles, Randy and Deborah Nickerson, Richard and Rosemary Falzone and many close cousins will also always cherish her memory.  Her closest friends, Crystal and Christine along with step-children and grandchildren, Arelisa, Jaime, Julianna, Avaleigh, Ezrael and Zamir and friends too numerous to list, will also treasure Shannon's love.  She was predeceased by her father, Charles "Tony" Akers, grandparents, Alfred and Mary Franco, step-father, Christopher Shea, and uncle, Donald Franco.  Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 14th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.  A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Feb. 15th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church in Wilbraham.  Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Janice Franco-Shea, 35 Quaboag Valley Coop, Palmer, MA 01069 for the future account to benefit of Shannon's daughter's, Taysia and Ariana.
