She was born on March 10, 1945 in Bath, ME to Ralph and Effie (Fosher) Milliken. Jane was raised in Bath, ME and after college she moved to Norwood, MA then to Walpole, MA where she lived for 38 years. In 2015, she moved to Belchertown to be closer to her daughter and her family. In her leisure, she loved taking trips back home to Maine and enjoyed fresh Maine lobster dinners. She enjoyed traveling to Sweden to see her son. Above everything else, she truly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 45 years, Joseph J. Szymanski of Belchertown/Walpole, her daughter, Beth Knodler, and her husband, Michael A. Knodler of Belchertown, and son Michael Emery, and his partner Sophie Bergstrom, of Sweden. She leaves her six precious grandchildren, Benjamin, Morgan, Madison, Brady, Mikaela and Taylah; as well as two brothers, Bruce and Richard Milliken of Florida. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Eugene Milliken and Marie Goldstein. Special thanks to Jane’s sister in law, Terrie Szymanski for her support, especially during her last few years.
