Obituary of Eugene Gancarz

Belchertown -Eugene S. Gancarz, 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in Palmer, MA March 31, 1943 son of the late Fred and Joanna (Kusek) Gancarz. He was a graduate of Palmer High School. He was employed by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst as a Mechanical Engineer and Master Plumber. Following retirement, he ran Gancarz Plumbing and Heating for many years. He was also a musician with Joey Kargol Happy Pals of Ware, MA. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years, Amelia J. (Makuch) Gancarz of Belchertown, two beloved children, Dr. Gregory Gancarz and wife Yuka (Inagaki) of San Diego, CA, and Dr. Andrea J. Gancarz-Gojgini and her husband Dr. Babak Gojgini of Belchertown. He was a devoted grandfather to Kent, Grant and Colin Gancarz and Andrew B. Gojgini. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a loving sister Alice Gancarz. Donations may be made in Eugene's memory to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
