Obituary of Nancy L. Roberts

Belchertown – Nancy L. Roberts, 83 passed away in the early morning of April 17th, 2022.
Nancy was born in Holyoke, to her loving parents Albert and Louise (Beauregard) Frappier on July 27th, 1938. Nancy graduated from Holyoke High School, and Fitchburg State College with her Masters Degree in Nursing. She would later move to Granby with her husband Thomas R. Roberts Sr. to raise their three children on a small farm. In 1980, Nancy returned to college in an accelerated program to earn her degree as a Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner from Northeastern University in Boston. Using her degree she worked for many years at the Belchertown State School. Nancy was born to be a caregiver, whether it was in her career or taking care of animals on the farm, Nancy was everyone’s mom. She looked forward to travel, which could involve observing wildlife and nature or traveling to Mexico and the southern United States. She also loved spending time at the beach, eating lobster, floating in the waves and soaking up the sunshine.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Tom of 30 years and her long- time companion, Johnny Sarmiento. Nancy is survived by her children, Thomas R. Roberts Jr. and his wife Maryann of Belchertown, Linda M. Neveu and her husband Philip of Granby and Julie M. Ogg and her husband Stephen of Belchertown. She will also be forever missed by her 9 grandchildren Brian, Michelle, Ryan, Rachel, Brigitte, Malorie, Cortney, Emily and Curtis as well as her many great-grandchildren. Nancy’s children would like to send a special thank you to Baystate Hospice and Baystate Oncology for their exceptional care and compassion.
Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services, which will be done by the convenience of the family.
