Obituary of Simone G. Normand

Simone G. Normand, 92, of Belchertown, MA passed away May 4, 2022 at Hospice of the Fisher Home  in Amherst, MA. She was born on August 7, 1929 in Chicopee, MA to Irene and Yvonne (Frennette) Gregoire.  Simone enjoyed spending time tending to her flower gardens, she loved going to the beach and was an accomplished seamstress.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.  Simone was predeceased by her husband Noel L. Normand in 2011 and twelve siblings.  She is survived by three children, Gregory Normand (Cathy) of North Carolina, Jody Berenson (Joel) of Belchertown and Brenden Normand of Belchertown.  She is also survived by a brother Lawrence Gregoire of S. Deerfield, eight grandchildren, Becky, Heather, Nicholas, Christine, Barbra, Darron, Monika and Brenden; as well as eight great grandchildren, Ryan, Devin, Jack, Giana, Nathyn, Lauren, Mackenzie and Charleigh.  She will also be missed by her loving cat Ebony.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00 am at South Cemetery in Belchertown.  Donations may be made in her memory to the Hospice of the Fisher Home in  Amherst, 1165 N. Pleasant St., Amherst, MA 01002.
