Obituary of Ruth Elaine Outhuse

Palmer - Ruth E. (Johnson) Outhuse, 89, of Flynt St., passed away at home on May 30, 2022. Born in Ware, MA on November 10, 1932, she was the daughter of Clarence and Marion (Robbins) Johnson. Ruth grew up in Palmer and was a graduate of Palmer High School and has lived in Palmer for all of her life. Ruth was an active member of the Second Congregational Church in Palmer and a member of the Women's Fellowship Club. She was a member of the Lake Thompson Colonist Club, a Precinct Warden for the Town of Palmer for many years, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross for 40 years. She will be deeply missed by five children, Jeffrey Harris, Linda Miga and husband Theodore, David Outhuse and wife Pamela, Glen Outhuse and wife Mary, Diane Outhuse all of Palmer. She also leaves 5 grandchildren, Eric, Michael, Andrea, Laura and Ryan, and great grandson, Aiden. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded by her husband Arthur Outhuse and two grandchildren, Katherine and Nicholas. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 11, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church in Palmer. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
