Obituary of Robert Michael Kendall

Robert M. Kendall, 64, of Granby, Massachusetts passed away August 12, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 8, 1958, in Pittsfield, MA to Robert B. and Mary E. (Yarmey) Kendall. Bob was raised in Dalton, MA and after high school he attended North Adams State receiving a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He has lived in Granby, MA since 1989 and previously lived in South Hadley. Bob worked for E-Ink in as a machine operator and previously as a mix room operator at Rexam Graphics, both in South Hadley. He enjoyed watching sports and cheering on his favorite New England teams the Boston Red Sox and Celtics, but when it came to football, he was a diehard Miami Dolphins fan. Bob was known as a dominate 8-ball pool player since his college days. He was also a dog lover and was especially fond of German Shepherds. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Laurene (Roy) Kendall and two sons, Jakob and Kurtis Kendall all of Granby. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Kendall (Cheryl) of Fitchburg, MA, his two "adoptive sons" Charlie Moller-Mullen and Kyle Gilbert of Northampton, his in-laws Ken Roy (Tammy) of Chicopee, David Roy (Christine) Roy of Milford, Barbara Roy of Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of Bob's life at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Program provided Bob and his family housing and support while he was undergoing medical treatments away from home in Boston.
