Obituary of Catherine F. Camp

Granby, Ma—Catherine F. Camp, 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 surrounded by family. Daughter of the late Richard and Clara (Witt) French, she was born in Granby in June, 1924.

She enjoyed traveling, a variety of craft work, and walks around her property. Having lived her last 50 years just across the street from where she was born, Catherine was fond of her clever saying “I didn’t get very far in life.”

She considered herself very fortunate to have a small group of friends that would visit, go to lunch, or simply explore with ventures to fun, new, unfamiliar places.

Catherine will be dearly missed by all who knew her, including her two children, Duane Camp of South Hadley and Carilyn Schebel of Granby; her 2 grandchildren, Jess Camp and Matthew Schebel and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Richard H. Camp, in 1995 and her brother, William B. French, in 1968.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
