Obituary of Yvette Claire Choquette

Granby - Yvette C. (Houle) Choquette, 90, passed away Oct. 11, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 8, 1932 in Holyoke, MA to Antonio and Lucienne (Dulong) Houle. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Henry O. Choquette. They lived in both Texas and Maine before moving to Granby, in 1957. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Her lifelong career was selling insurance, the last 20 of those years she worked for Goss & McLain Insurance Co. in Holyoke. After retirement, she and her husband traveled the United States & Canada in their RV, eventually settling down in Davenport, FL where they lived for 22 years. They enjoyed a second career for 13 years working winters at Disney World in Orlando. In 2017 Yvette and Henry returned home to Granby to be closer to family. Yvette loved to travel, play golf, the beach and go to the casino to play nickel slots; most importantly she loved her family. She will be deeply missed by Henry, her husband of 70 years and her children, Wayne "Chuck" Choquette (Christine) of N. Reading, Janice Cook w/whom she lived, Jim Choquette (Cherylnina) of Amherst, and Kimberly Kolvek (Dewey) of Russell. She is also survived by a brother, Leonard Houle of Westfield, 8 precious grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren who she adored. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Miller and siblings, Gerald, Roger and Lorraine. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby on Mon., Oct. 17th at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 N Parkway Suite 105 Worcester, MA 01605.
