
Obituary of Leonard F. Bourk
Belchertown - Leonard F. Bourk, 93, passed away peacefully, at home with his family, on November 12, 2022. Leonard was born on September 28, 1929, in South Hadley, MA to Philip and Exilda (St. John) Bourk. Leonard has lived in Belchertown for the past eight years; he previously lived in Springfield, MA and Enfield, CT. Leonard worked at Hamilton Standard and Smith & Wesson before fixing washers and dryers throughout the New England area, as well as managing a local laundromat. He enjoyed motorcycle and bike riding. His real passion was ballroom roller skating at Babbs Beach and the Riverside Roller Rinks.
He is survived by two daughters, Theresa Fontaine and her husband Raymond of Belchertown whom he lived with, as well as Deborah Frame and her husband James of W. Warren. He also leaves three grandchildren: Danielle Fontaine of Brighton, Beverly Reed and her husband Sgt. 1st Class Harrison of Camp Zama, Japan, and Megan Frame of CA. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Philip and sisters, Lorraine, Estelle and Lillian.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 10:30-11:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am; both services will be held at St. Francis Church, Belchertown. The burial service will be held in St. Michaels Cemetery in Springfield.
His family is deeply grateful to Regina, Anna, Ben and all of the staff at Cooley Dickinson Hospice for the tender and loving care shown to Leonard.
