Obituary of Beatrice C. Beauchemin

Beatrice (“Bea”) C. Beauchemin, 90, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2022 at Orchard Valley in Wilbraham. She was born on July 4, 1932 in Chicopee to Charles & Rhea (Brouillet) Bellefeuille Sr., schooled at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Holyoke and graduated in 1950 from Holyoke High School.  

She was married to the love of her life, Eugene (“Gene”) Beauchemin Jr. from May 30, 1953 until his passing in 2012. Bea and Gene raised their family on their working mini-farm in Bondsville (Palmer). Bea was a long-time parishioner at the former St. Anne’s parish in Three Rivers and later joined St. Thomas the Apostle parish in Palmer. She was a faithful Catholic who loved her family and friends and was known for her wit. Bea retired from the Eastfield branch of the former Albert Steiger Company where she worked as a department manager and later office clerk. She leaves one daughter Suzanne Brozek (James) of Sturbridge, and three sons Eugene III  (Linnea) of Westfield, Robert (Sarah) of Monson and Paul (Lori) of Chicopee. She will be missed by grandchildren Michael (Laura), Brian (Ashley), Jennifer (Antonio), Daniel (Kristen), Mark (Christine), Erica (Eric), Kristen (Timothy), Nicholas, Tyler, Kaitlyn (Kyle), Elizabeth (Nathan), Jarred, and Dylan, and great grandchildren Ethan, Jayden, Paxton, Rylan, Lucas, Olivia, Charlotte, Evan, Theodore, Alexandra, Leo, Hazel, and Isabel, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers Charles Jr. and Paul, her husband Eugene, and an infant daughter Denise.  

Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home from 9:00-10:30 am followed by procession to St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Palmer for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial to immediately follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Three Rivers. The livestream of the service can be accessed via https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/6048472483 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
