Obituary of Anne Marie Clark

Ware - Anne Marie (Putz) Clark, 67, passed away suddenly on Dec. 3, 2022, at home. She was born on July 19, 1955, in Palmer, MA to Anthony C. and Stephanie V. (Niemiec) Putz. Anne was raised in Palmer and graduated from Palmer High School and has lived in Ware for the past 47 years. She was employed for the past 20 years as an Administrative Assistant for Elms College, as well as worked part-time for Big Y in Palmer for decades lending a caring ear to all of those she interacted with. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, walks at the Quabbin Reservoir, pontoon boat rides on the Swift River with her family, and a Bud Light on Friday nights.  To her family Anne was lovingly referred to as "Mama Bear", the term coined by her late husband. She cherished time spent watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, going out to eat with her sisters, hosting Thanksgiving Day dinner. Superbowl parties, making baked goods for her family, and of course her famous Lasagna that always overtopped the pan when cooking in the oven. Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, John Clark and her brother, Anthony Putz, Jr. She is survived by her three children, who will be missed by her constant nagging, Shawn Clark and his wife Allyson, Heather Emery and her husband Ian, and Chad Clark. She also leaves her 4 sisters, Veronica Lepore, Christine Putz, MaryAnn Descy and Janice Rhicard; as well as 8 grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Aiden, Rhys Clark; Aliviah, Abigail, Ian Emery; Alexandra and Brayden Clark and many extended family members. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.  Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday at 9:00 a.m. to follow to Divine Mercy Parish in Three Rivers for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Lung association or Boston Childrens' Hospital.  For more information visit www.beersandstory.com
