Obituary of Caron E. Rose

Belchertown- Caron E. Cabral (Arnold) Rose, 78, passed away January 7, 2023 at the Hospice of the Fisher Home in Amherst. She was born on December 11, 1944 in Springfield to the late Albert and Doris (Loerke) Cabral. Caron's father Albert was killed in action in 1945 in Germany during WWII and she was raised by her stepfather, Fred Arnold.

Caron lived in Belchertown since 1973 with her children. She worked as a school bus driver for 32 years in Belchertown and also worked for a few years at Applewood in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Mill Valley Snowmobile Club along with her children for many years. Caron enjoyed doing crafts and painting, and she loved lighthouses and taking trips to Cape Cod. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.

Caron was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Belchertown and worked on the Missions Committee.

Caron had three children, Mark Fitzherbert, Lisa Fitzherbert, and Brenda Alley who passed away in 2005; two siblings, Jeffrey Arnold and wife Sherry of Warren, and Deborah Wenzel who passed away in 2018 and her husband Frank Wenzel who passed away in 2012. She also leaves 6 grandsons, Kyle Fitzherbert and his wife Jessica and their children Savannah and Payton, Daniel Alley and his son Damien, Joshua Fitzherbert, Shawn Fitzherbert, Jacob Fitzherbert and Riley Fitzherbert (Menard); nephews, Jeremy Arnold, Jefferey Arnold, and James Arnold and his wife Samantha and their 2 children.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 16, 2023 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at 9:00am for a funeral procession to Hope United Methodist Church for Caron's Funeral Service. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Belchertown.
