Ralph was my friend, pal, next door neighbor and partner in crime. Ralph was the master of creating the most interesting devices from almost absolutely nothing. He once created a carbon arc light from the carbon rods in D cell batteries which lit up his back yard into daylight. He built a small AM tube transmitter which he added a really long antenna and played music all over Chicopee Falls. He was a thinker, a comedian. His wit was sharp and he could tell someone to go to H_LL so eloquently that they looked forward to going there. I will truly miss Ralph but hope we meet again some day to reminisce about the early days and ask him what really happened at the Bemis Pond bath House. We all lost a really true person. Sincerely Ann and Frank Furman

Our deepest sympathies to Ralph’s family. I remember wiring the Chicopee High School phone system to act as a giant antenna for our school built radios. We had fun and Ralph was always kind and fun to be around. I will always keep that memory of us alive.
