Andrew Wadas

Obituary of Andrew Paul Wadas

Palmer-Andrew P. Wadas, 40, passed away January 31, 2023 at home with the love of his family and friends surrounding him. Born July 6, 1982 in Springfield, he was the son of David Wadas and Bonnie (Lamb) Carbonneau. Andee grew up in Holyoke and moved to Palmer as a teenager. If you met Andee, you experienced Andee. He was full of life and lit up the room the minute he walked in. He didn’t live life, he LIIIIVVVED life. He was happiest on stage, mic in hand, singing, dancing and hosting any event, even if there wasn’t a host needed. Locally, Andee could be seen in plays held at the Exit Seven Players Club in Ludlow or Broad Broad Opera House in Ct to name a few and if there was a karaoke night he was your man. As a top model for Luna Art Studio in Holyoke, Andee spent countless hours providing a canvas for characters -loving every minute of the show and usually paired with his longtime friend Amy Bouchard.

Andee was predeceased by his step-father, Jean Carbonneau. His love and memory will forever remain with his mother, Bonnie Carbonneau; his sister Melanie (John) Drewnowski and their children, who were dear to Andee and who he was the best “Funcle” to, Mateo, Olivia & Nathan, his brother Jason (Danielle) Carbonneau and their children, his uncle James ‘Jimmy’ Lamb. His father Dave Wadas along with his step-mother Sue; his sisters Aimee Walczak, Lisa Wadas, Melissa Brady, Jill Frey and Robin Krok and their families.

Andee will be missed deeply by his close friends, especially his partner in life, Tracy Dame. She and Andee were inseparable and after many years of friendship, she was an integral part of his battle with Cancer, helping make this last year and the fight bearable. She was side by side with his mother until the end and that provided him so much comfort during his last few days.

Andee will always be remembered for the love he showed to his friends and family, the way he could make you laugh in ANY situation but also would be the one to start the water works and get everyone crying. He was compassionate to others and would be the first to lend a hand or jump in to organize any event and motivate those around him. In Andy's memory, please consider donations to any Cancer Organization of your choice, any LGBTQIA organization of your choice, Holyoke Pride https://www.mightycause.com/story/Holyokepride or youth pride were a few of his favorites to support.
