Obituary of Robin C. Lamica

Robin C. Lamica, 69, of Wilbraham, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2023. Born to the late Daniel and Ruby (Ladue) of Chicopee on October 22, 1953, Robin was raised in Aldenville and graduated from Chicopee Comp High School (auto) in 1972. He worked for Lou Herman’s Auto Body (Holyoke) before opening Robin’s Auto Body in 1979 in Palmer, where he made many friends and ran a successful repair business for 44 years.

In his early days, Robin raced his cars competitively at Lebanon Valley and Red Barn Speedways. He loved restoring antique cars in his spare time, as well as flipping houses, playing billiards, gourmet cooking & baking, and landscaping. He was also a lifelong avid bass fisherman, happiest traveling to a lake and fishing from his boat.

Robin will be greatly missed by his brother James (Terry) Lamica of Chicopee, sisters Rosemary (Joe) Simonich of Chicopee, Mary Bain of Palm Bay, FL, and Carolyn Antaloci of Kannapolis, NC, and his sister-in-law Janet Lavoie of Belchertown, MA. He is predeceased by siblings Daniel and Thomas Lamica, and Joan Nicholson. Robin will be lovingly remembered by 22 nieces and nephews, and 3 step-daughters; Cady Maynard, Jackie Breeds, Kristi Noonan; as well as his beloved grandchildren Joe, Dylan, and Callie who brought him so much joy.
