Terry Michalski

Obituary of Terry Michael Michalski

Terry Michalski August 6th 1953 - February 25th 2023 Terry was 69 at the time of his passing. Though he left a large amount of both lessons and love behind him with his child and grandchildren, he was a very well respected member of the community. As the owner of T.M. Custom Welding, he worked over 35 years as a welder and mechanic for those around the greater Holyoke area. Never did he miss the opportunity to proudly exclaim about one of the many custom works still in place where they were installed years before. He was a man with great pride in his work, even at the end he wished to do nothing but work on someone's project. Terry never left anything unfinished during his day either, which is one of the reasons people stood behind him over the years of his business on Shawmut Ave. in Holyoke. He had also spent quite some time with his friends at the Sheldon’s Bar that was closely located around the corner. Later he spent a good amount of time with his friends at the Holyoke Legion where he would enjoy BBQ’s with his Grandson and sidekick on Friday nights. He loved being around people especially after a long day, to just have a cold beer with friends. This was a man that also could never resist helping a person out. He would go out of his way to make sure that the people he cared for were exactly that, taken care of. Teaching to his grandchildren the importance of self-management with a special kind of love that could be seen by those around him. Leaving behind lessons in fishing to automotive repair, regardless of whether you understood the lesson the first time. He never gave up on you, he was really an amazing human being in the end. Terry was the son of James and Bernice Michalski. He leaves behind his daughter Danielle Pikul and her partner Chris Sevigne, his cherished grandchildren Ethan Ferrera and partner Nadia Arabasz and Sheyanne Ferrera and fiance Zachary LeBreton as well as his sister Doris Dubois (Larry), and brothers Timothy, Matthew and Mark (Karen) Michalski, his nieces and nephews, and his friends including Erin, Buddy and Zeke. A celebration of life is being held at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home with visitation from 5:00-7:00pm and a service beginning at 7:00pm. on Thursday March 16th, 2023.
