Obituary of Lawrence R. Miceli, Sr.

Palmer-Lawrence "Sonny" R. Miceli, Sr., 86, passed away March 10, 2023. Born October 15, 1936, he was the son of Lawrence and Stella (Nadolny) Miceli. Sonny has lived all of his life in Palmer and was the co-owner of Metro Drive-In and had his projectionist license. He continued his employment at Five Star Theater as well as working as a route carrier for the United States Post Office. He is survived by his wife, Darline (Moore) Miceli along with their three children, Lawrence Miceli (Kristy) of Windham, NH, Michael Miceli (Melissa) of Springfield, and Donna Miceli (Dan) of Oak Point, TX. Sonny also leaves four grandchildren, Terrance Andrew Harriman, Justin Harriman, Catherine Miceli and Joseph Miceli along with his sister-in-law, Shirley Moore and three cousins, Frances Rutkowski, Michael Miceli, and Judy Heirsche. Sonny was predeceased in death by his daughter, Sheila in 1991. A very special thank you to Beacon Hospice and Life Care for the care and compassion that was provided to Sonny and his family, most especially his favorite nurse, Aria. Visitation will be Monday, March 20 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a service to begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery.
