Obituary of Arthur C. Alois

Monson- Arthur C. "Art" Alois, 75, passed away March 24, 2023. He was born on May 8, 1947 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur A. and Doris (Laudeman) Alois. Art played football for four years at the University of Pittsburgh while earning his Bachelor's Degree. Shortly after graduating from college, Art met the love of his life, Jane, in Stroudsburg, Pa, and they eventually settled in Monson over 30 years ago. Art worked as a transportation sales person for numerous companies before retiring. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends, golfing, and spending time outside tending to his yard. In 1989, Art was inducted into the Pennsylvania sports hall of fame for outstanding high school and college athletic achievements. Besides his parents, Art was predeceased by his brother, Richard A. Alois. He will be dearly missed by his wife of over 50 years, Jane (Denniss) Alois; daughter, Katherine Balog and her husband, Paul, of CT; grandchildren, Jackson and Sarah Balog, of CT; sister, Caroline Trezise, of PA; niece, Robyn Koch, of PA; nephews, Eric and Jeremy Trezise, of PA; and brother-in-law, James T. Denniss, of FL; and sister-in-law , Jaqueline Alois, of WV. Services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Paul's Universalist Church in Palmer. Burial will be held privately for Art's family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Art's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org.
