Obituary of Quentin K Duke

Belchertown-Quentin K. Duke, 45, passed away unexpectedly after complications from surgery on May 7, 2023. He was born in Elk Grove, IL on April 10, 1978, the son of Frederick and Rhonda (Pemberton) Duke. Quentin grew up in Cape Coral, Florida and graduated from Cape Coral High School. He continued his education and received his Batchelor's Degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Quentin honorably served his country in the 25th Infantry Division, 1-14 Golden Dragons. He served two tours of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom One and Two. He was Airborne and Air Assault qualified and was an experienced and decorated combat infantryman. Quentin and his high school sweetheart, Kristin Davis, have been married for 20 years and have lived in Belchertown with their two children, Logan and Madison Duke, for the past 8 years. Quentin loved college football and was a huge Florida Gators fan – a passion he shared deeply with Logan. He coached Little League Baseball and Eagles Football in Belchertown for several years. He most recently worked for Pacific Packaging in Chicopee, but spent more than a decade as an engineering technician for the Florida Department of Transportation in Gainesville, Florida. His memory will forever remain with his wife and children, whom he adored. Quentin also leaves his father-in-law, Michael Davis of Belchertown, sisters, Angie Pepitone and Sarenia Valez and brother-in-law, Shawn Davis, and many nieces and nephews, all of Florida. He also leaves behind many close and cherished friends in Belchertown and Florida and many combat brothers across the country whom he remained close to following his service. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A private burial with military honors will be held for the family at the MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Please consider donations in his memory to the Wounded Warriors' Project.
