Obituary of Lucille I. Boudreau
Lucille I. Boudreau, 94, passed away at home on May 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 9, 1929 in Palmer to the late Armand and Lillian (Rivers) Vertefeuille, the eldest of four children. Lucille made a home in Belchertown, where she raised her children in a modest home on 11 acres of land. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors, and created a lasting tradition of annual family camping trips to Rhode Island. In her leisure, Lucille loved playing bingo and looked forward to bingo night every Thursday.
Besides her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by four children, Richard and Roger Boudreau, Louise Waite, and Barbara King; and siblings, Richard, Jeanette, and Alice Vertefeuille. Her legacy lives on in her children, Cindy Minkley, John Boudreau, and Charlene Boudreau; 13 grandchildren, Justin, Somer, Gordon, Jackie, Lola, Erika, Samantha, Free, Mary, Ricky, Kelly, Lisa, and Michael; as well as many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held the following morning, June 7, 2023, at Divine Mercy Parish at 10:00am. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:00am for a funeral procession. Burial will immediately follow in St. Anne's Cemetery.
