Obituary of Charlotte M. Bacon

Palmer - Charlotte M. Bacon, 80, passed away May 26, 2023, at Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton, MA. She was born on November 19, 1942, in Palmer, MA to Leroy and Gertrude (Thompson) Bacon. Charlotte was raised in West Brimfield, after which she moved to Palmer, living there for 60 years. She retired from Sanderson McLeod in Palmer after 48 years of service. Charlotte was a member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah). She loved listening to country music, line dancing, trips to Cape Cod, and traveling with her friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 8 siblings, Caroline Siok, Gertrude Nulph, Elizabeth Smith, Myrtle Bacon, Roy Bacon, Harold Bacon, Pearl Peck, and Charles Bacon. She was also predeceased by a nephew, Steven Bacon, who she helped raise. She is survived by her sister, Rose Cadieux of Brimfield, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home on Thurs, June 8th from 10:00-11:30 am. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 pm at Brimfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlotte’s memory to the Aquinnah Cultural Center, 10 Black Brook Road, Aquinnah, MA 02535.
