Obituary of William W. Greany

Three Rivers -William "Mickey" W. Greany, 75, passed away suddenly at home on June 1, 2023. Born July 20, 1947, in Springfield, MA son of the late William and Harriett (Hale) Greany. He proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves from 1966-1970. After serving in the Army, he worked for Utility Manufacturing Company in Wilbraham for over 40 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, NASCAR racing, golfing, playing pool and driving his 1998 corvette. Mickey enjoyed all sports on TV and the computer as well as going out for breakfast and going out once a month for supper. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joanne F. (Jacobs) Greany of Three Rivers and two daughters, Laurie Fernandes of Palmer and Lynn Greany of Three Rivers. He also leaves 2 grandchildren, Mark Fernandes of Belchertown and Amber Cote and husband Tom of New Hampshire, as well as a sister, Kathy Freunscht and husband Bob of Chittenango, NY, a brother, Marty Greany and wife Barb of Palmer, and his new dog Sassy. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Richie Clark of Thorndike and sister-in-law Sandy Bedard of Bondsville, extended family members and friends.
