Dear Karen, Luke and all extended family and friends,
So very sorry for your loss of a great guy! We were all lucky to know him and hope that memories comfort you in this difficult time. I remember a lunch I had with him in late ‘60’s at the Gables in S. Deerfield with Don Kempkes who also went Navy. Lee must’ve been between tours to Nam or on leave. He was humorous even then just like at BHS. I feel I have known Karen just as long and remember teaching Luke at Chesnut Hill. I always loved having kids whose parents I knew! You really know someone when you teach their children. He lives on in all of you especially the steady smiles! Brother Mark was a frequent guest at the numerous parties at the Hitchcocks on his street and I always felt I was with Lee with Mark’s smiles and humor obviously gained by osmosis!
Thoughts and prayers for you all and grateful you had him, albeit not long enough.
