Obituary of Duane R. Bovat

Ware- Duane Ralph Bovat, 90, passed away July 20, 2023. He was born on September 19, 1932, in Georgia, VT., the son of Ralph and Velma (Lafayette) Bovat. Duane worked as a mechanic for many years at Goodhall's Garage in Union, Connecticut. He was an avid gun, bow, and arrow hunter and a long time member of the Holland Rod and Gun Club.

Duane was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sallymae Bovat, in February 2023, and his sisters, Shirley Paquette and Nancy Spindler.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Deborah Blair and her husband, Lyman, of W. Yarmouth, Sandra Bellmar and husband, Robert, of Yarmouth Port, Steven Bovat and wife, Sandra, of Sandwich, and Tammy Lapierre and fiance, Fred King, of Worcester. He also leaves his step-children, Wayne Schofield of Three Rivers, Troy Schofield of Three Rivers, and Randy Schofield of Palmer, as well as 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 15 at 11:00 AM at Oak Knoll cemetery.
