Obituary of Lynn Dee Linderman

Lynn Dee Linderman passed away on May 11, 2024, with her children by her side. She was born to Kathleen and George Mallette in Menominee, Michigan on February 12, 1947. Raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she met her soulmate, David Alan Linderman at Grand Rapids Central High School. She married him on May 11, 1968, and they made their first home on the island of Guam where he was on active duty for the United States Navy. They were happily married for 41 years until his passing in 2009. Lynn Dee touched the lives of multiple generations of children and families as a home daycare owner of nearly 30 years. She was an integral part of her daycare children’s lives and cherished her role in helping to raise them. Her patience, strength, and love were a true gift. Keeping in touch with her daycare kids via Facebook and watching them grow up brought her so much joy. She moved to Massachusetts in 2010 but remained true to her Michigan roots proudly telling everyone where she was from. On any given Saturday in the Fall, you could find her cheering loudly for her favorite college football team, Michigan State University. This pride for all things Michigan was displayed all over her home with her countless Michigan pictures, magnets, flags, stickers, posters, and coffee mugs. Lynn Dee absolutely loved being outdoors, whether it was taking walks, gardening, taking pictures of her flowers, watching the birds, or making sidewalk chalk drawings with her grandchildren. She loved all things nature and had quite a green thumb. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Lynn Dee will be deeply missed by her best friend and sister, Terri (Phil) Geerts, and her three children who were the light of her life; Christopher (Emily) Linderman, Kim (Jeff) Bernashe, and Steve (Allison) Linderman. She was a thoughtful and loving grandmother to Hannah, Ethan, Emma, Maria, Audrey, and David. Lynn Dee also leaves behind nieces and nephews, many beloved cousins, and cherished lifelong friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home from 10:00am-12:00pm. A Memorial service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 2:00pm.
