Obituary of Joy A. Praisner

" Joy A. (Brisbine) Praisner, 71, of North Washington St., died on March 26, 2007 at home with her family at her side. Born on August 30, 1935 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Lanning) Brisbine. Joy has resided in Belchertown since 1989 and previously lived in Ludlow for 22 years. Joy was a communicant of St. Francis Church, a member and past president of the American Legion Post 239 auxiliary for 14 years and a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. She is survived by her husband Peter Praisner and three children Dr. Michael Mazzaferro of Palmeto, FL, Janes Mazzaferro of Hampden and Susan Montefusco of Ware. She also leaves two step-daughters Christine and Eileen Praisner and five grandchildren Alexander, Derek and Mia Mazzaferro and Jessica and Sarah Montefusco. She will be missed by her beloved pet dog Lady and by many close friends. A Funeral service will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Church.
