Obituary of Bogus Land

"Holyoke, Bogus “Bruno” Land, 84, of Gamelin Rd. died March 18, 2007 at Holyoke Medical Center. Born in Zeierzyniec, Poland, December 16, 1922, he lived in Belchertown for 50 years before moving to Holyoke in 2005. He served in the US Merchant Marine and the US Army and later worked for General Instrument Corporation in Chicopee as the plant manager and executive. Mr. Land was also highly qualified as an electronic engineer. He retired in 1987 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Tri-Lakes Association and the American Legion, both in Belchertown. He is survived by his wife Jean (Geldner) Muszynski Land and her son. He also leaves a sister Jadwiga Zamorski, a nephew John Zamorski, and a great nephew all of Wisconsin. He also leaves his first wife’s son, Stanley Libucha of Amherst, along with many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Edna T. (Warchol) Libucha Land in 2004. Funeral services will be Monday, March 26 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton Street, (Rte. 116) followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in Mater Dolorosa Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee.
